Affiliate disclosure
This page explains how CalcOrchard uses affiliate and referral links, how we label them, and why they never influence what we recommend.
What are affiliate links?
Some of the outbound links on this site — for example, when we mention a specific bank, broker, invoicing app, or book — are affiliate or referral links. If you click one of these links and later sign up for a service or make a purchase, we may receive a small commission from the merchant. This costs you nothing extra. The price you pay, the account you receive, and the terms of the service are the same as if you had gone to the merchant directly.
How we label them
Every affiliate link on CalcOrchard is disclosed in three ways:
- The page or section is marked with an "#ad" or "Sponsored" tag.
- The link uses the HTML attributes
rel="sponsored nofollow", as required by search engines and the UK ASA. - A short note appears near the link explaining that we may earn a fee.
If you don't see a "#ad" or "Sponsored" tag next to an outbound link, it is not an affiliate link — it's an editorial recommendation with no commercial relationship.
Our editorial rules
The presence of an affiliate relationship does not influence:
- What our calculators return. Every calculator uses standard, published formulas — never merchant-preferred ones.
- Which products or providers we mention in articles. We recommend based on genuine usefulness for the reader.
- Ranking or ordering. We do not sort providers by commission size.
We will decline to mention a merchant we don't believe in, even if they offer commission. Conversely, we will mention merchants we consider best-in-class even when no affiliate program exists.
Networks and programs we use
CalcOrchard may participate in the following affiliate networks and programs. This list will grow over time and is kept up to date on a best-effort basis:
- Wise — via the Partnerize (Performance Horizon Group) affiliate network. A lightweight measurement tag runs on every page so that a click on a Wise link from CalcOrchard can be attributed to us if you go on to open an account. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- Amazon EU Associates (including Amazon.co.uk)
- Direct referral programs with other financial services providers we personally use or have vetted (e.g. Revolut)
- Reputable affiliate networks such as Awin and Impact.com, where applicable
Amazon Associates statement
As an Amazon Associate, CalcOrchard earns from qualifying purchases. This statement is required by the Amazon Associates Operating Agreement.
